MEDFORD, MA -- The University of Scranton women's basketball team held on to defeat Tufts University 60-57 on Tuesday night.

How it Happened
- Tufts struck first with a mid-range jumper, but graduate student Kyra Quigley spun around her defender to even the score at 2-2.
- Quigley found graduate student Maddie Hartnett who connected from three with 5:55 left in the first, giving Scranton a 7-4 lead.
- Down two with 2:30 to go in the first, graduate student Allie Lynch grabbed a loose ball and found junior Jenna Sloan down court who banked in a reverse layup past a defender, tying the score at 13 a piece.
- Lynch found sophomore Natalie Stoupakis on the fast break who scored a layup to give the Lady Royals a 5-point lead heading into the second quarter.
- An aggressive Scranton offense forced Tufts into early foul trouble, as the Jumbos picked up 6 fouls in the first quarter.
- Junior Kaci Kranson drained a three-pointer from the left corner to start a hot streak for the Lady Royals, as sophomore Meghan Lamanna and junior Kaeli Romanowski followed with three-pointers of their own to put Scranton ahead 27-14.
- Quigley grabbed an offensive rebound and finished through contacting, converting the and-1 at the line with 6:14 left in the half.
- Kranson scored back-to-back drives, forcing the Jumbos into a timeout with the Lady Royals ahead by 18.
- Sophomore Elizabeth Bennett grabbed an offensive board and kicked the ball out to Stoupakis who drained a three-pointer from the top of the key, then again on the next possession from the right wing.
- Scranton led at the half, 42-26.
- The Jumbos opened the half on a 8-4 run, before Lamanna connected from three in the right corner to restore the lead to 15.
- Stoupakis added her third three-pointer of the night with 1 minutes left in the third, Scranton ahead 56-39.
- Scranton struggled from the field in the fourth quarter, as the Jumbos outscored the Lady Royals 18-4.
- Quigley scored both baskets for Scranton in the fourth, and the Lady Royals held on to win 60-57.

- Lamanna led all scorers with 16.
- Kranson added 11 points and six rebounds.
- Quigley and Bennett each had three assists, and Harnett recorded three steals.
