DALLAS, PA --  The University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team defeated Misericordia 165-97 on Saturday afternoon.

Top Performers

• Sophomore Sam Peters took first in the 1000 free with a swim of 10:39.60. 
• Sophomore Chris Clarke won the 200 freestyle while junior Will Tagliareni and senior James Cava finished second and third respectively in the event.
• In the 100 back, sophomore Connor Doogan took first at 1:04.27 while graduate student Scott Majka and junior Matt Sherry placed second and third respectively.
• Junior Mike Finley won the 50 free at 22.92 and freshman Zachary Leonard earned second at 23.00. 
• In the 200 breaststroke, freshman Matthew Bellach claimed victory with a swim of 2:20.01. Sophomore Tommy Nappi finished just behind Bellach at 2:21.15 to earn second place.
• Clarke posted his second individual win of the day in the 500 free with a time of 5:04.36. 
• Sherry took first in the 200 IM as he clocked in at 2:06.68. 
• Scranton closed out the meet with a win in the 200 free relay from the team of Finley, Leonard, Doogan and Majka.
