MADISON, NJ -- The University of Scranton men's basketball team fell in Landmark Conference action at Drew University on Wednesday night with a final score of 70-51.

How it Happened
- Drew opened the game on a 10-0 run, until graduate student Tahaj Parland found the paint and scored the first basket for the Royals.
- Junior Jon Spatola scored back-to-back layups to revive the Royals, bringing them within four with 13 minutes left in the half.
- Senior Will McLoughlin scored with 1:51 left, then drained two free throws before heading to the locker room at the half, down 38-16.
- The Rangers were hot from the three-point point, making six in the first half.
- Freshman Kylon Brown started the scoring for the Royals in the second half, followed by a McLoughlin layup and Spatola jumper.
- With 12: 32 left in the game, McLoughlin found Spatola who finished through contact and earned the extra point from the free-throw line.
- Parland later found McLoughlin who finished with a dunk to bring the Royals within 19.
- Freshman Will Marion drained a three off a feed from Spatola as Scranton continued to chip away at the Rangers' lead.
- Drew responded to the Royals' push, drawing back-to-back fouls and converting at the free-throw line.
- With 4:21 remaining, McLoughlin grabbed his own rebound and finished at the basket, then on the next possession connected from three off a pass from Brown, Rangers ahead 61-45.
- Brown added a layup off an assist from Parland with a minute left, but the Royals were unable to catch the Rangers, who finished the game with a final score of 70-51.
