Freshman Juliana Janezic (Southington, Conn./Cheshire Academy) tossed six shutout innings and the Royals notched the 7-0 win.

Janezic allowed just two hits to go along with a walk and five strikeouts over her six innings of work and junior Emma Tirollo (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) fired a scoreless seventh with a pair of strikeouts to preserve the shutout.

The Royals got on the board immediately in the home half of the first as senior Bailee Hendricks (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area) delivered a two-out, two-run single. In the second inning, sophomore Julia Vesey (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) reached with a one-out double, took third on a groundout and scored on freshman Celia Totaro's (Flemington, N.J./Hunterdon Central) RBI single to give the Royals a 3-0 lead after two innings.

Totaro added her second RBI single of the day as part of a two-run fourth inning and senior Sarah Stepnowski (Monroe Twp., N.J./Monroe) plated a pair with a two-run double in the sixth to complete the scoring.

Kaitlyn Aasheim was dealt the loss for Albright as she allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 6.0 IP.

Stepnowski (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R), Totaro (3-4, 2 RBI, SB, R) and Vesey (3-3, 2B, 3 R) all tallied three hits apiece for Scranton.

Scranton 13, SUNY Delhi 2 (F/5)

The Royals scored 13 runs on a season-high 17 hits and rolled to a 13-2 win over SUNY Delhi in the team's second game of the day on Thursday.

SUNY Delhi struck first with a run in the top of the first inning, but Scranton quickly responded with four in the home half on a two-run single from junior Alyssa Mosconi (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) and RBI singles from Hendricks and fellow junior Hannah Keane (Randolph, N.J./Randolph).

Mosconi added an RBI triple during a three-run second inning and freshman Alexa Bruno (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) came through with an RBI single of her own that extended the lead to 7-1.

Danielle Seymour took the loss for the Broncos as she was charged with eight runs on 12 hits over 3.0 IP.

After plating a solo run in the third inning, the Royals scored five in the fourth to break the game open. Freshman Savannah Levine (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) drove home a run with an RBI double before junior Kylie Rochford (Tinton Falls, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) knocked in a pair with a two-run single and Stepnowski came through with a two-run double that made it 13-2.

Freshman Carley Heyward (Wall, N.J./Wall) got the win in the circle for Scranton as she allowed two runs on three hits while fanning six in three innings of work. In relief, senior Courtney Wellet (Glen Gardner, N.J./Voorhees) fanned three over two scoreless frames.

Seven different players recorded two hits apiece and both Mosconi and Stepnowski drove in three runs.
