MOOSIC, Pa. – Freshman Alexandra Schaul (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) fired an 87 (+16) and The University of Scranton women's golf team notched a 358-375 victory over the Drew Rangers in dual match action on Friday afternoon at Glenmaura National Golf Club in Moosic.
Schaul carded an 87, while senior Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) checked in with an 88 (+17). Sophomore Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa./Scranton Prep) fired a 91 (+20) on the day and sophomore Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy) added a 92 (+21).
Drew's Kayla Diaz and Roxy Riles shared medalist honors with an 86 (+15).
Rounding things for the Royals was senior Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) with a 93 (+22) and sophomore Emily Murphy (Medford, N.J./Merion Mercy Academy) with a 111 (+40).
Prior to the match, Buhler and Dowling were honored for their contributions to the program over the last four years.
Scranton will host Misericordia on Sunday afternoon at Stonehedge Golf Course with tee time slated for 12 p.m.
