Sophomore Kyle Holmes (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) and freshman Myles McCutcheon (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) led the Royals' attack with four goals apiece.

Holmes opened the scoring off a feed from senior Seamus O'Callaghan (Bethpage, N.Y./Chaminade) just 2:08 into the game and sophomore Quinn Carson (Ardmore, Pa./Haverford) struck less than a minute later for an early 2-0 lead. Scranton would score four more times over the remainder of the period including one more apiece from Holmes and McCutcheon that made it 6-1 after one. McCutcheon then added two goals in the second quarter to complete the hat trick and goals from seniors Joe Boyle (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and Matthew McAree (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset) in the final four minutes opened up a 12-2 advantage at the half.

O'Callaghan tallied two goals as part of a dominant third quarter for the Royals who were able to hold the Colonels scoreless and extended the lead to 18-2. The visitors led by as many as 18 at 21-3 following a goal from freshman Tommy Tremarco (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) before Wilkes added three late goals for the final margin of 22-6.

To go along with the four goals apiece from Holmes and McCutcheon, O'Callaghan added a hat trick and Boyle and sophomore Jason Kozak (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) recorded two apiece.

Freshman Ronan Miller (Oxford, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) collected a season-high seven ground balls for Scranton and junior Anthony Campola (New Hartford, N.Y./New Hartford) caused two turnovers. Miller went a perfect 9-of-9 on faceoffs in the victory.
