WILLIAMSPORT, PA -- The University of Scranton men's tennis team took down Lycoming 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon in Landmark Conference action.
With the win, the Royals improve to 5-11 on the season and 3-5 in conference play.
Doubles
- In No. 1 doubles, the freshman duo of Max Dombrowski (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) and Lucas Kotcho (Jermyn, Pa. Valley View) picked up an 8-7 (7-2) win for Scranton.
- Graduate Student Steven Prosperino (Brewster, N.Y. / North Salem Central) and freshman Harrison Clark (Coopersburg, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) secured an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles.
- At No. 3 doubles, freshman Isaiah Dore (Plainfield, N.J. / Plainfield Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies) and sophomore Nathan Harrison (Pennsville, N.J. / Pennsville Memorial) also picked up an 8-2 victory for the Royals.
Singles
- Dombrowski defeated Luke Leach of Lycoming 6-1, 6-4 in No. 1 singles.
- Dore got the win at No. 2 singles in straight sets of 6-0, 6-2 over Connor Albaugh.
- At No. 3 singles, Clark took down Matthew Baldridge 6-0, 6-1.
- Kotcho won the No. 4 singles match over Josh Neidert by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
- Prosperino notched a win for Scranton in No. 5 singles, 8-5.
- Harrison picked up an 8-4 win at No. 6 singles.
The men's tennis team returns to action on Friday at Juniata at 4:00 PM.
