TUNKHANNOCK, PA -- Senior captain
Madalyne Buhler (Stony Point, N.Y. / Albertus Magnus) fired off an 86 (+15) to lead The University of Scranton women's golf team to a local dual match win over King's College on Sunday afternoon at Stonehedge Golf Course.
The Royals won the match by a final score of 374-431 and improved to 4-0 on the season in dual matches.
Buhler's round of 86 marked her second consecutive round in the 80s. Freshman
Alexandra Schaul (Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel) finished second individually with a round of 94 (+23).
Senior
Victoria Dowling (East Northport, N.Y. / Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and sophomores
Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa. / Scranton Prep) and
Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y. / Notre Dame Academy) all posted rounds of 97 (+26). Senior
Anna Marie Palermo (Media, Pa. / Merion Mercy Academy) rounded out the lineup for Scranton at 110 (+39).
The women's golf team returns to action on Friday for a Landmark Conference match against Drew at Glenmaura National Golf Club at 1:00 PM.
