TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. – Freshman Mara Bilenski (Towaco, N.J./Montville Township) earned medalist honors with a 91 (+20) and The University of Scranton women's golf team opened the fall season with a tri-match sweep of King's and Misericordia on Sunday at Stonehedge Golf Course.
The Royals topped Misericordia by a score of 372-404 and King's by a score of 372-423.
Bilenski led the way for Scranton and was closely followed by sophomore Alexandra Schaul (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel) who checked in with a 92 (+21) and junior Cassandra Weir (Staten Island, N.Y./Notre Dame Academy) at 93 (+22).
Rounding things out for the Royals were junior Lidia Marranca (Pittston, Pa./Scranton Prep) who shot a 96 (+25) and freshman Samy Arun Kumar (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) who carded a 99 (+28).
Scranton is back in action on Monday, Sept. 16 for the Moravian Invitational that will be held at Saucon Valley Country Club beginning at 1 p.m.
