SCRANTON, PA -- Sophomore Elizabeth Bennett scored a career-high 28 points to lead The University of Scranton women's basketball team over Moravian University, 90-46, Wednesday night at the John Long Center.

How it Happened
- Sophomore Meghan Lamanna found graduate student Kyra Quigley on the right block to open scoring for the Lady Royals, who trailed 3-2 after the first possession.
- Trailing 11-6 with five minutes remaining in the first period, sophomore Elizabeth Bennett grabbed an offensive rebound and finished through contact, converting the three-point play at the free throw line.
- Bennett scored six straight points to give the Lady Royals their first lead, 13-11, with 3:15 left in the first quarter.
- Sophomore Katie Gorski finished a hook shot from the paint off a feed from classmate Natalie Stoupakis, giving the Royals a 20-13 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Lamanna drained a three-pointer from the left corner as the Lady Royals took an eight-point lead with 8:14 left in the first half.
- Junior Kaeli Romanowski made back-to-back steals on Moravian in bounds passes, finding classmate Kaci Kranson for a layup on the first steal and graduate student Maddie Hartnett on the second, who was sent to the line and converted both free-throws, increasing the Lady Royals lead to 29-17.
- Bennett earned another trip to the line after finishing through contact and scoring her 11th point of the half, as the Lady Royals took a 37-21 lead at the half.
- Kranson backed her defender down to the left block and finished the layup to score the Lady Royals first points of the half.
- Lamanna drained a three-pointer from the left wing, then Kranson connected from the right wing on the next possession as the Lady Royals took a 46-21 lead two minutes into the second half.
- Quigley delivered a pocket pass to Kranson on a backdoor cut, extending the Scranton's lead to 23 points.
- Stoupakis found Bennett on the inbound who earned her third and-1 opportunity of the night, Lady Royals ahead 53-29 with 2:50 left in the third.
- Junior Jenna Sloan stole the ball from the Greyhounds, finding Gorski down court for a fast break layup, then Gorski found Lamanna on the next possession for three, as the Lady Royals increased their lead to 29 with just under 2 minutes to play.
- Bennett drained two three-pointers from the top of the key and Stoupakis added one from the left wing as the Lady Royals carried their momentum into the fourth quarter.
- All five of Scranton's freshmen found the basket in the fourth quarter as the Lady Royals held on to win 90-46.
