HUNTINGDON, PA -- The University of Scranton women's basketball team defeated Juniata College 85-58 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gymnasium.

How it Happened
- Junior Kaci Kranson scored the first seven points of the game for the Lady Royals as they led Juniata 7-2 at the 6:11 mark in the first period.
- Consecutive threes from sophomore Meghan Lamanna and Kranson put Scranton up 19-6 with just under four minute remaining in the first.
- Junior Jenna Sloan made a fast-break layup in the final 10 seconds of the first period to give the Lady Royals a 20 point lead headed into the second.
- Lamanna led the way in the second period with a pair of threes as Scranton led the Eagles 43-21 at halftime.
- Lamanna scored eight straight points, including two more threes in the early stages of the third quarter to increase Scranton's lead to 27.
- Sophomore Elizabeth Bennett connected from deep to close out the scoring in the third for the Lady Royals.
- Following a pair of made free throws from Juniata to open up the fourth, Lamanna and Kranson combined for seven straight points to help Scranton regain a 29 point advantage.
- A three from sophomore Natalie Stoupakis put Scranton up by 31 with 5:08 remaining in the game.
- The Lady Royals went on to defeat Juniata by a final score of 85-58.
Top Performers
- Kranson led the way with a game-high 26 points to go along with six rebounds and five steals. She went 3-6 from three-point range.
- Lamanna scored a career-high 24 points on 6-12 from three-point range. She also recorded six boards and four assists.
- Bennett added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
