READING, PA – The No. 15 University of Scranton men's soccer team remained unbeaten with a dominant 4-0 road win over Alvernia University on Wednesday night in a non-conference matchup at Alvernia Turf Field.

In the 40th minute, James Mayo opened the scoring with a flicked header to the far post off a long throw-in from Justin Curran, giving the Royals a 1-0 halftime lead.

Just 41 seconds into the second half, Dean Finan made a hard run into the box and redirected a loose ball into the net after another long throw caused havoc in front of goal.

The Royals extended the lead in the 52nd minute when Mayo flicked on another throw, finding Preston Rushmore at the top of the box, who slotted a low shot into the bottom corner through traffic.

Tyler Colton capped off the scoring in the 60th minute with a moment of quality, curling a right-footed shot around a defender and into the bottom right corner for his team-best fifth goal of the season.
- Scranton dominated both ends of the pitch, controlling possession and earning their eighth shutout of the season. The Royals' defense remained solid throughout, limiting Alvernia's chances and keeping the clean sheet intact.
