SCRANTON, PA - The University of Scranton women's volleyball team cruised past Drew University, 3-0, in a Landmark Conference match Tuesday night at The John Long Center.

How it Happened
- Both teams battled in the first set of the night, but it was Scranton that came out on top 25-22. Each team went on multi-point runs throughout the set, but after Drew grabbed a 22-20 lead, Scranton won five straight points to win the set. Freshman Lauren Angelucci recorded seven kills in the set, including two of the last three to help the Royals win.
- The Royals dominated the second set, hitting .367 with 12 kills to win the it 25-10 and take a 2-0 match advantage.
- Scranton closed out the match in the third set with a nail-biting 27-25 victory. Drew clawed its way back to take a 25-24 lead after trailing by four points earlier in the set, but Scranton won three straight points to win the set. Deanna Whelpley led the team with five kills during the set.
