SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton wrestling team posted a 3-1 record at the U of S Duals hosted at the John Long Center on Saturday.
The Basics
- Scranton defeated Utica University (56-0), Hunter College (47-9), and Lackawanna College (50-6).
- The Royals fell to King's College in the final match of the day, 36-16.
- Scranton improves to 8-5 on the season.
Top Performers
- 285 - Freshman Max Shnipes went undefeated and recorded three pins on the day. His fastest pin came against Seth Northrop of Utica in 1:23.
- 174 - Graduate student Jacob Burgette also unbeaten, including two tech. fall victories against Utica and King's.
- 165 - Freshman Donell Young earned Scranton's first points of the match against King's with a 21-6 tech. fall victory. Young also recorded a tech. fall in Scranton's win over Utica.
- 157 - Sophomore Aidan Veirun went 3-1 for the Royals and recorded three pins with his fastest coming in 1:21 against Lackawanna.
