ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -- The University of Scranton softball team posted a pair of victories in the Landmark Conference opener at Elizabethtown College on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
- Scranton scored three runs in the top of the first to take an early lead.
- Freshman Hailey Poskonka hit an RBI single to right field and sophomore Lainey Lacey hit a two RBI double to left field.
- Elizabethtown cut Scranton's lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the first on a single up the middle.
- Senior Hannah Keane hit a sacrifice fly to center in the top of the second to score sophomore Alexa Bruno and put Scranton up 4-2.
- The Royals added two more runs in the top of the fourth on a pair of sacrifice fly-balls from Keane and fellow senior Alyssa Mosconi.
- The Blue Jays cut the lead to 6-3 in the bottom of the fourth.
- Mosconi hit an RBI single in the top of the fifth that scored sophomore Savannah Levine and put Scranton up 7-3.
- Sophomore Celia Totaro hit an RBI single to right field to start the scoring in the top of the sixth.
- Later in the inning Mosconi hit an RBI double to center and junior Emmie Feltenberger hit a two RBI double to left center to put the Royals up 12-3.
- The Blue Jays scored one run in the bottom of the sixth as Scranton went on to win the game by mercy rule, 12-4, following six innings.

- Mosconi went 3-4 at the plate and led Scranton with three RBI.
- Totaro, Feltenberger, Keane and Lacey each recorded two RBI.
- Freshman pitcher Emma Douglas earned her fourth win of the season.

How it Happened
- The Royals scored the first run of the game in the top of the fourth as Bruno hit an RBI single down the left field line to score fellow sophomore Ellyn Cervona.
- Scranton put up five runs in the top of the fifth to take a 6-0 lead.
- Keane drove in Totaro with an RBI single up the middle to start the scoring.
- Freshman Kiley Mullins drove in Feltenberger and Keane scored on the same play as she capitalized on an error from Elizabethtown.
- Cervona hit an RBI single to right center later in the fifth to score Poskonka.
- Bruno drove in Mullins with an RBI double to left center to cap off the scoring on the day.
Top Performers
- Senior pitched Emma Tirollo tossed a full game shutout and allowed just three hits while recording a pair of strikeouts.
- Totaro, Keane and Cervona each recorded two hits in the win.
