WILKES BARRE, PA -- The University of Scranton baseball team dropped a Landmark Conference contest at Wilkes University on Wednesday, 7-3.

How it Happened
- Wilkes put up four runs on three hits in the bottom of the first to take an early 4-0 lead.
- Junior Aidan Casey drove in graduate student Matthew Querey for Scranton's first run in the top of the second.Â
- The Colonels took a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the third.Â
- A two RBI double from Wilkes in the bottom of the sixth made it 7-1.Â
- Scranton added two runs in the top of seventh on RBI singles from Querey and sophomore Jake Lopez.
Top Performers
- Lopez went 2-3 with one RBI.Â
- Freshman Nick Hernandez pitched two scoreless innings in relief and recorded a pair of strikeouts.
