SCRANTON, PA – The University of Scranton baseball team fell to Marywood University, 9-6, on Thursday afternoon in Scranton.

How it Happened
- Scranton got on the board in the first inning when freshman Joey Granko ripped a double into right-center field to score junior Conor Campbell.
- Marywood answered in the bottom of the first inning with a bases loaded walk to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Pacers scored four runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning to take a 5-1 advantage, and they scored three more in the fourth inning to jump out to an 8-1 lead.
- Scranton got one run back in the top of the sixth when junior Deuce Rzucidlo drove in the second run of the game with a sacrifice-fly.
- In the eighth inning, Scranton scored four unearned runs on two fielding errors, one hit by pitch and a groundout to cut Marywood's lead down to 8-6.
- Marywood tacked on a run on three hits in the bottom of the eighth inning.

- Sophomore Jared Cassella went 3-4 with one RBI.
