SCRANTON, PA - The University of Scranton softball team split the doubleheader against Catholic University on Thursday afternoon at Magis Field.

How it Happened
- With senior Kylie Rochford on second base and two outs, junior Emmie Feltenberger ripped a triple to score the game's first run in the first inning.
- Scranton added on an insurance run in the fifth inning when Rochford ripped her 100th career hit – an RBI single to drive in sophomore Alexa Bruno and made it 2-0 Scranton.

- Rochford had two hits, one RBI, one run scored and tallied her 100th career hit.
- Freshman Emma Douglas pitched all seven innings, allowing just three hits and striking out four as she tossed her first career complete game shutout.
- Feltenberger went 2-3 with an RBI triple.
Game 2: Catholic - 9, Scranton - 4
How it Happened
- Scranton scored two runs in the first inning when Rochford doubled in a run and then senior Alyssa Mosconi brought home Rochford with a sacrifice-fly to make it 2-0.
- Catholic took the lead in the top of the third inning after scoring three unearned runs.
- The Cardinals scored five runs in the top of the fourth inning on five hits
- Senior Hannah Keane smacked a double down the left field like to drive in Feltenberger, and three batters later, Ellyn Cervona singled home Keane to cut the Catholic lead down to 8-4 in the sixth.
- Catholic added its ninth run of the game on an RBI double in the top of the seventh inning.

- Rochford went 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
- Freshman Kiley Mullins pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief and allowed just one run.
