BETHLEHEM, PA -- The University of Scranton baseball team completed the series sweep of Moravian University with a pair of wins in a Landmark Conference doubleheader on Sunday.
The Basics

Game 1: Scranton - 15, Moravian - 13
How it Happened
- The Royals jumped out early with a run in the first, but Moravian took a 3-1 lead through two innings.
- Scranton responded with a four-run third inning, including a two-RBI single from junior John Heitzman and a sacrifice fly by graduate student Matthew Querey to go up 5-3.
- Moravian rallied to tie the game at 5-5 and took a 7-5 lead with a two-run homer in the sixth.
- Scranton's offense exploded in the seventh inning, scoring six runs on a series of hits and defensive miscues. Senior Jake Elston provided a big hit with a two-RBI double, while sophomores Jared Cassella and Jake Lopez, and junior Aidan Casey also added RBIs.
- Moravian answered with four runs in the bottom of the ninth, but the Royals held on for the 15-13 win.

How it Happened
- Scranton dominated from start to finish in the series finale. The Royals scored two in the first inning, then added another in the second before erupting for six runs in the third. The big blow came from junior Conor Campbell, who launched a grand slam over the left field wall to put Scranton up 10-1.
- The fifth inning saw another offensive explosion, with the Royals plating eight runs on seven hits and two Moravian errors. Heitzman, junior Deuce Rzucidlo, sophomore James Nitti, and Querey all delivered RBI hits as Scranton stretched the lead to 18-1.
- Moravian managed a two-run homer and a bases-loaded walk, but it wasn't nearly enough to overcome the Royals' offensive outburst.
