DALLAS, PA -- The University of Scranton baseball team dropped a non-conference contest to No. 18 Misericordia University on Monday afternoon, 10-6.

How it Happened
- Scranton scored the first run of the game in the top of the first on an RBI single from junior John Heitzman that scored classmate Conor Campbell.
- The Cougars tied the game up at 1-1 in the bottom of the first.
- Misericordia scored four runs on two hits and one error in the bottom of the second to take a 5-1 lead over Scranton.
- The Cougars made increased their lead to 6-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- The Royals scored five runs on five hits in the top of the eighth to tie the game up at 6-6.
- Freshman Joey Granko hit an RBI single to right field that scored junior Aidan Casey.
- Later in the inning with the bases loaded, freshman Hunter Petrich hit a three RBI double to left center.
- Junior Logan Mason capped off the scoring in the eighth inning for Scranton with an RBI single through the left side that scored freshman Will Hunsinger.
- Misericordia scored four runs on two hits in the bottom of eighth to regain a four run lead.
- The Cougars held Scranton scoreless in the top of the ninth to secure a 10-6 victory.

- Petrich recorded a team-high three RBI.
- Campbell and Mason each registered two hits.
- Graduate student Matthew Moreira pitched three scoreless innings in relief with two strikeouts.
