SCRANTON, PA. - The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team took down Elizabethtown College 10-6 in the Landmark Conference Championship as the Royals won their third straight Title on Saturday afternoon at Weiss Field.

- The Royals defeated the Blue Jays for the third straight season en route to their third Landmark Conference Championship in a row.
How it Happened:
- Scranton opened the scoring in the fifth minute of the period when junior Quinn Carson took a feed from classmate Jason Kozak and scored to put the Royals up 1-0.
- Elizabethtown responded 50 seconds after Carson's goal with a pair of goals separated by less than two minutes to take its first lead of the game at 2-1.
- With 5:25 left in the first quarter, Kozak connected with junior Pat McCormack who fired a shot into the back of the net to tie the game at two apiece.
- ETown responded with a goal at the 2:48 mark as the Blue Jays took a 3-2 lead into the second period.
- It was all Scranton in the second quarter, as the Royals scored all four goals in the period.
- Carson scored his second goal of the game just 56 seconds into the second quarter to tie the game at 3-3.
- Then, with 10:05 on the clock, freshman David Dubas tallied his first goal of the game to put the Royals back in front.
- Dubas scored again with 6:20 left in the half to extend Scranton's lead to 5-3.
- With 4:57 to go in the second period, Kozak took a feed from Carson and scored to give Scranton its biggest lead of the game at 6-3.
- ETown opened the scoring in the second quarter as Finn Kristan found the back of the net. To make it 6-4 Scranton.
- Just 31 seconds later, Carson found McCormack right in front of the cage and McCormack buried the shot to reestablish a three-goal lead.
- ETown scored the next two goals of the quarter, once with 4:26 on the clock and a second time with just four seconds left in the quarter to cut the Royals' lead to 7-6.
- McCormack scored his third goal of the day, assisted by Kozak, at the 11:17 mark of the fourth quarter to extend Scranton's advantage to two goals at 8-6.
- With 6:41 left in the game, sophomore Myles McCutcheon found sophomore Brendan Donohue who fired a shot into the back of the net, giving the Royals a 9-6 lead.
- Just 2:07 later, Carson took it all the way to the cage and scored his third goal of the afternoon to give Scranton its biggest lead of the game at 10-6 with just 4:34 left in the game.
Top Performers:
- Carson was named Landmark Championship MVP with his game-high five points on three goals and two assists.
- Sophomore goalie Carsen Kirchner made four saves in the win. His fifth save of the game broke the program record for saves in a single season.
- Kozak tallied four points on one goal and three assists.
- McCormack scored three times.
- Senior defenseman Zachariah Palinkas tallied five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Senior John O'Connor won 65% of the face offs in the game.
