The University of Scranton is excited to welcome back Peter Blasi, a 2000 graduate, as the new assistant coach for the men's and women's golf teams.
Blasi was a key member of the Scranton golf team during his time as a student, earning three varsity letters from 1996 to 2000. He returns to the program with a strong connection to the university and a passion for mentoring student-athletes.
After earning his degree in Biochemistry, Blasi went on to earn his law degree from Western State University College of Law and spent a year as a visiting student at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, focusing on intellectual property. He's now a registered U.S. Patent Attorney and also holds an MBA from Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management.
Professionally, Blasi has worked in the intellectual property and scientific tech industries since 2007, mostly in client-facing sales roles. His analytical skills and strategic thinking help shape his coaching style, giving student-athletes tools for success both on and off the course.
Blasi has been a member of the Wyoming Valley Country Club since 2017 and remains an active golfer. His return to Scranton is a full-circle moment - and a great addition to the Royals golf family.
