Delaney O'Donoghue Joins Scranton Softball Program as Assistant Coach

The University of Scranton head softball coach Caitlyn Seamster announced the addition of Delaney O'Donoghue to the coaching staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026 season.

O'Donoghue joins the Royals following a successful four-year playing career at Drew University, where she was a standout catcher for the Rangers. A 2025 graduate, she appeared in over 110 games during her collegiate career and earned All-Landmark Conference Honorable Mention recognition as a senior.

During her time at Drew, O'Donoghue was known for her consistency at the plate and strong defensive presence. She batted over .330 in each of her final three seasons, including a career-best .354 average in 2024, and totaled 37 RBIs across four years. She also threw out numerous base stealers and played a key role in managing the Rangers' pitching staff.

A native of Tustin, California, O'Donoghue graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Marketing from Drew University.
