SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton field hockey team soundly defeated King's College, 6-0, at Weiss Field on Tuesday night.

How it HappenedÂ
- Scranton opened the scoring 3:27 into the game as sophomore Maggie Keys fired a bullet into the back of the cage to make it 1-0 Royals.
- The Royals scored again when Keys connected with senior Annie Shaw, who flicked a shot past King's goalie to make it 2-0 Scranton with 13:46 left in the second quarter.
- Just 3:56 later, senior Annie Coll took a pass from sophomore Olivia Dougherty and ripped a shot into the back of the cage to extend the lead to 3-0.
- The Royals scored their fourth goal of the game 4:10 into the third period when Dougherty fired a shot past the keeper to make it 4-0 Scranton.
- Dougherty added her second goal of the game with under 11 minutes to go in the game as she snuck a shot through the legs of the goalie and into the cage, making it a 5-0 lead for the Royals.
- After not scoring on their first 14 corner attempts of the game, the Royals broke through on their last of the evening as senior Kiera Lamb inserted to Keys at the top of the circle, who then ripped a bullet into the cage for Scranton's sixth goal of the night.
