How it Happened
- After his first shot was blocked, senior Tyler Colton scored on his second effort to put Scranton ahead 1-0 in the second minute of the contest.
- Less than 15 minutes later, Colton struck for a second time, taking a pass from junior Alex Kozdron and finding the back of the net to make it 2-0 Royals.
- With just under 18 minutes left in the game, junior Matt Capretto connected with Colton, who buried a shot from right in front of the keeper to complete his first career hat trick.
