Philadelphia, Pa. – The No. 2-ranked University of Scranton women's basketball team remained unbeaten on Sunday afternoon, pulling away in the fourth quarter for a 79-57 victory over Susquehanna at The Palestra.

How It Happened
- After trailing 5-0 to open the game, the Lady Royals responded with strong defensive play and quick baskets inside from Kaci Kranson and Katie Gorski to take a 9-5 lead.
- The Lady Royals pushed the advantage to 16-9 midway through the opening quarter following a three-pointer from Meghan Lamanna and a fast-break layup by Elizabeth Bennett. Scranton closed the first period on a high note, as a late steal and bucket from Kranson extended the lead to 25-13.
- Kranson kept the momentum going to start the second quarter, knocking down a triple from the left wing. Gorski and Kranson continued to attack the paint throughout the period, generating quality looks at the rim, while the River Hawks relied on perimeter shooting to stay within striking distance.
- Kaeli Romanowski capped the first half with a crafty drive to the basket, sending Scranton into the break with a 41-34 lead.
- Consecutive three-pointers from Bennett and Sophia Talutto helped Scranton claim its first double-digit lead of the second half midway through the third quarter, 53-40. Susquehanna trimmed the margin to 57-47 heading into the final period.
