WILKES BARRE, PA -- The No. 2 ranked University of Scranton women's basketball team cruised past Wilkes University, 80-28, in Landmark Conference action on Wednesday evening at the Marts Center.

How it Happened
- Scranton surged out of the gate with a 14–0 run to open the game, highlighted by a pair of three-pointers from junior Meghan Lamanna. Sophomore Marisa Francione and freshman Gabriella Murphy also connected from beyond the arc in the opening quarter, as the Lady Royals built a 17–4 lead heading into the second period.
- The momentum carried into the second quarter, with Lamanna drilling another three and senior Kaeli Romanowski converting a tough and-one to extend Scranton's advantage to 20. The Lady Royals continued to attack the rim and earn trips to the free-throw line late in the half, stretching the lead to 44–11 at halftime.
- Scranton's defense set the tone early in the second half with a series of steals, while senior Kaci Kranson fueled the offense with strong drives to the basket and additional points at the line. Francione knocked down another three late in the third quarter, pushing the lead to 40 with one period remaining.
- The Lady Royals maintained control in the final quarter and closed out the game with an 80–28 victory.
