SCRANTON, Pa. – The No. 2 ranked University of Scranton women's basketball team used another dominant defensive effort to defeat Juniata College 87–38 on Saturday at the John Long Center.

How It Happened
- Kaci Kranson set the tone early with back-to-back layups to open the scoring for the Lady Royals. Meghan Lamanna followed by drilling a deep three and then another from beyond the arc, pushing Scranton out to a 14–4 advantage.
- Sophia Talutto added a key three-pointer to keep the momentum rolling, and Kaeli Romanowski capped the opening quarter with a corner three to give the Lady Royals a commanding 27–8 lead.
- Scranton continued to pull away in the second quarter as Romanowski and Lamanna each knocked down additional three-pointers. A well-executed inbound play from Kaitlyn Raguso led to an easy layup by Elizabeth Bennett, further extending the lead.
- At the break, Kranson paced all scorers with 19 points, while Lamanna followed with 14.
- The Lady Royals showed no signs of slowing down in the second half, as Bennett and Kranson connected on key baskets to build the advantage. Talutto and Kelsey Miedreich each buried three-pointers to stretch the lead to 69–24 by the end of the third quarter.
- Fast-break finishes by Selena Cieszko and Marisa Francione highlighted Scranton's depth and energy down the stretch, and the Lady Royals closed the contest with a layup from Cieszko to seal the 87–38 victory.
