Senior Samuel Peters of the University of Scranton men's swimming & diving team has been named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office. 

This marks the first Landmark Athlete of the Week selection for the West Hartford, Connecticut native.

Peters posted a perfect week in the pool for the Royals, as Scranton defeated Juniata in its home opener, 192-70. The senior captain won the 50 breast (27.34), 100 breast (1:00.60) and 200 IM (2:03.25), and swam on the winning 200 medley relay, scoring 27 points for the Royals.

Peters and the Royals return to action Saturday, Oct. 17^th as they face Ithaca and Hartwick in a tri-match, hosted by Ithaca.
