The University of Scranton women's volleyball team opened Landmark Conference play with a victory over Wilkes University, 3-0, Saturday evening at the John Long Center.

How It Happened
First Set
- The Colonels carried the momentum early in the first set, taking a 12-8 lead.
- Scranton stormed back, thanks to a service ace from Senior Gabby Konrad and a kill from Junior Ava Seidenstein as the Royals gained a 15-13 lead.
- The Royals never looked back, finishing the set 25-21.
Second Set
- Junior Danielle Kramer delivered two early set kills as the Royals jumped out to a 5-2 lead.
- Wilkes tied the set at 6-6, but Sophomore Adria Vargas contributed back-to-back kills to regain the lead.
- Freshman Angela Bush finished the set with a kill to give the Royals the set win and a 2-0 lead.
Third Set
- Wilkes started the third set on a 7-3 tear, but a 7-1 Royals run gave Scranton a 9-8 lead.
- The Colonels tied the game at 21-21, but never regained the lead, as Bush and Kramer scored timely kills, and Konrad delivered the dagger to lift the Royals to a 3-0 lead.
