The University of Scranton women's soccer team scored five times in the opening 41 minutes and cruised to a 5-0 win over Goucher College Saturday afternoon at Weiss Field.

How It Happened
- Lena Madjor opened the scoring in the 9th minute, taking the ball from a Goucher defender at the top of the 18-yard box, turning and ripping a shot into the bottom left corner of the net for her second goal of the season.
- Elise Nicholas doubled the lead in the 31st minute, running onto a perfectly placed low cross from Libby Masterson on the left wing, seeing her first shot saved by Goucher's goalkeeper before poking home the rebound for her first goal of the season.
- Aileen Carr made it 3-0 in the 37th minute, using her back to redirect a corner kick taken by Claire Merrill into the net for her first goal of the season.
- Claire Merrill got on the scoresheet herself two minutes later in the 39th minute, pouncing on a rebound off a shot from Isabella Sacco for her first career goal.
- Merrill struck again less than two minutes later in the 41st minute, tucking a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner off a well-placed through ball from Erin Farrell for her second career goal, capping the first-half outburst.
- Scranton cruised through a scoreless second half to close out the shutout win.
