SCRANTON, Pa. – The No. 2 ranked University of Scranton women's basketball team used another dominant defensive effort to roll past Wilkes University, 93–42, on Wednesday night at the John Long Center. The Lady Royals move to 24–0 after leading and controlling every phase of the game.

How It Happened
- The Lady Royals came out aggressive, as Kaci Kranson attacked the rim early and Kaeli Romanowski forced a turnover that immediately set the defensive tone.
- Scranton found its rhythm quickly, getting a strong finish inside from Elizabeth Bennett before Kranson knocked down a three-pointer to spark an early run.
- Strong defensive pressure led to transition points, including a fast-break layup from Romanowski, and a Bennett three stretched the lead to 14–4.
- The momentum continued to build as Kranson scored again in the paint, and back-to-back threes from Meghan Lamanna pushed the advantage to 22–10 to close a dominant opening quarter.
- In the second quarter, the Royals kept the pressure on with an and-one from Sophia Talutto, followed by another three-pointer from Kranson to extend the lead past 20.
- Crisp ball movement highlighted the first half, including a sharp pass from Talutto to Bennett for an easy layup, while Lamanna added a corner three to keep the offense rolling into a 50–23 halftime lead.
