WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The University of Scranton men's basketball team fell to Catholic University, 87–50, on Saturday afternoon in the final regular season game of the year.

How it Happened
- The Royals stayed within striking distance throughout the early stages of the first half, as Sammy Tornabene found early success in the paint and at the free throw line.
- Scranton tied the game at 13–13 with just over 10 minutes remaining after a three-pointer by Josias Carbon.
- Catholic began to pull away late in the opening half behind efficient shooting and solid defense. The Cardinals took an 11-point lead into halftime while shooting over 50 percent from both the field and three-point range.
