GLASSBORO, N.J.– The No. 15 University of Scranton women's lacrosse team outlasted No. 22 Rowan, 13-12, at the Rowan Soccer & Lacrosse Complex in Glassboro, N.J on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
- Rowan jumped out to a 1-0 lead, winning the opening draw and scoring on its first possession of the game.
- The Profs' lead was short-lived as Eileen Hewitt tied the score at 1-1 less than a minute later.
- Jillian Lopez gave Scranton its first lead of the game at the 9:20 mark and scored again two minutes later to make it 3-1. Just 29 seconds later, Hewitt found the net again to extend the Royals' lead to 4-1.
- Rowan answered with a free-position goal at the 3:33 mark of the first period, then added two goals in the final 58 seconds of the quarter to tie the game at four heading into the second period.
- Scranton regained the lead just 25 seconds into the second quarter when Hewitt scored her third goal of the game, but Rowan tied the score at 5-5 at the 12:54 mark.
- The Royals moved back in front with 6:32 left in the first half as Lopez scored her third goal of the game to give Scranton a 6-5 lead.
- With just two seconds remaining in the second quarter, Lopez took a feed from Grace DiDominica and scored her fourth goal to extend the lead to 7-5 at halftime.
- Scranton opened the third period with a goal 2:36 into the quarter. After Hewitt's shot was saved by Kylie Durboraw, Lopez collected the rebound and scored to make it 8-5.
- Rowan cut the deficit to two at 8-6 at the 10:20 mark, but just 10 seconds later Hewitt controlled the draw and found Lopez for her sixth goal of the game.
- The Profs scored the next three goals over a seven-minute span to tie the game at 9-9, but Hewitt answered with her fourth goal of the day with 2:11 left in the third quarter to put the Royals back in front.
- Alexandra Back found the back of the net with 10:35 left in the fourth quarter, but Rowan answered quickly with its 10th goal of the game at the 9:00 mark.
- With 5:56 left in regulation, Rowan capitalized on a free-position attempt to tie the game at 11-11.
- Scranton went back in front for good with 3:26 remaining when Colleen Mullen scored on a free-position shot to make it 12-11. Forty seconds later, Allyson Flynn added an insurance goal, her first of the game, to push the lead to 13-11 with 2:46 left to play.
- Rowan scored with just seven seconds remaining to pull within one, but the Profs fell short as Scranton held on for a 13-12 victory.
