How it Happened
- Elizabethtown took the lead just 28 seconds into the game on a goal by Ella Scholes, but Scranton answered at the 12:53 mark when Eileen Hewitt scored to tie the game at 1-1.
- The Blue Jays moved back in front, 2-1, with 9:47 remaining in the first quarter, but Jillian Lopez responded 21 seconds later with her first goal of the day to even the score.
- Hewitt found Grace DiDominica, who gave the Royals their first lead of the day at the 5:40 mark, and 2:10 later, DiDominica finished a pass from Alexandra Back to extend the advantage to 4-2.
- Lopez added her second goal of the afternoon with 2:40 left in the period, and Back scored with just over a minute remaining in the first to give Scranton a 6-2 lead.
