The University of Scranton baseball team dropped its final game of the season series against Wilkes University, 11-0, on Wednesday afternoon at Volpe Field.

How it HappenedÂ
- Wilkes opened the scoring in the top of the second inning, plating two runs on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.
- The Colonels broke the game open in the fourth, scoring four runs on five hits. A pair of RBI singles and a double highlighted the frame as Wilkes extended its advantage to 6-0.
- Wilkes added two more runs in the sixth on a solo home run and an RBI groundout to make it 8-0.
- The Colonels tacked on three runs in the seventh to stretch the lead to 11-0. Scranton was unable to answer in the bottom half of the inning as the Royals were shut out in the series finale.
