Men's Lacrosse Advances to Landmark Championship with 18-8 Victory Against Susquehanna in Semifinals

The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team advanced to the Landmark Conference Championship game with an 18-8 victory over Susquehanna University in the Landmark Conference semifinal on Wednesday evening at Weiss Field.

How It Happened

  • Scranton got off to a strong start, scoring six goals in the opening quarter. Quinn Carson opened the scoring before Patrick D'Amaro, Chase Ritcey, Jason Kozak, and Kyle Holmes all added first-quarter goals to give the Royals a 6-2 lead after one.
  • The Royals continued to build momentum in the second quarter, adding five more goals. Holmes and Kozak each scored early in the period before Ritcey scored three times in the quarter, including back-to-back goals in the final 48 seconds, to help Scranton take an 11-4 lead into halftime.
  • Scranton extended the lead in the third quarter with goals from Holmes and D'Amaro to make it 14-5 heading into the fourth.
  • In the final quarter, Holmes scored twice more while Tommy Tremarco and Ritcey also found the back of the net as the Royals closed out the 18-8 victory.
