The University of Scranton Athletics Department has announced the appointment of Andrew Hauk as Assistant Director of Athletics for Development.
In his new role, Hauk will lead development and fundraising initiatives for The University of Scranton Athletic Department, working with alumni, donors, and university leadership to advance the department's strategic priorities.
Hauk returns to The University of Scranton after serving as Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Misericordia University from 2022 to 2026, where he managed all aspects of the program, including budget development, recruiting, fundraising, facility enhancement, and alumni relations. Under his leadership, Misericordia qualified for the MAC Freedom Conference Playoffs in three of the past four seasons, recorded two conference playoff victories, and maintained a cumulative team GPA above 3.3 every year. He also developed the program's first-ever Career Development Blueprint, a structured initiative connecting student-athletes with alumni mentors, resume workshops, and internship and job placement support.
Prior to Misericordia, Hauk served as Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at SUNY Plattsburgh from 2020 to 2022, where he secured 25 incoming recruiting commitments, launched the program's first-ever Alumni Networking Program, and led a fundraising and renovation effort for the team's locker room, all while guiding the program through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Hauk previously spent three years at The University of Scranton as Head Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach from 2017 to 2020, helping lead the team to a 22-19 overall record and consecutive Landmark Conference playoff appearances while recruiting 46 committed players. Earlier in his career, he held assistant coaching positions at Western Connecticut State University and SUNY Plattsburgh, where he built a track record of strong recruiting and player development.
Throughout his coaching career, Hauk has consistently prioritized donor and alumni engagement, creating multiple first-of-their-kind programs aimed at connecting alumni networks with current student-athletes and strengthening fundraising efforts for team facilities and operations.
Hauk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from SUNY Plattsburgh, where he also competed as a standout goalie, starting in the 2014 SUNYAC Championship game and receiving votes in the USILA Top 20 Division III Poll.
