The University of Scranton women's soccer team dropped to 1-1 on the season with a 3-0 home loss to Vassar College on Saturday at Weiss Field.

How It Happened

  • Vassar came out fast, firing three shots in the opening three minutes before breaking through at 6:37 when Anna Arban finished off a pass from Elena Valle to make it 1-0.
  • The Brewers doubled their lead late in the first half, as Alice Crowley converted an assist from Caroline Sheehan with just over five minutes remaining before the break.
  • Scranton goalkeeper Makenzie Van Arsdale kept the deficit from growing further, turning aside four shots in the first half alone.
  • Vassar closed out the scoring in the 83rd minute when Sheehan set up Maddie Harmon for the Brewers' third goal of the afternoon, sealing the 3-0 final.
