Biography

  • Has had an outstanding first two seasons for the Royals after missing his freshman season with an injury
  • Two-time All-Landmark Conference First Team selection in opening two seasons in the program; 2018-19 D3hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Region Rookie of the Year
  • Averaging 16 points a game and has started 51 of the 52 games he has played in his career; also has 112 assists, 68 steals, and 32 blocks
  • In just two seasons, he ranks third in program history in career field goal percentage (59.1)

Junior Year (2019-20)

  • Started 25 of the 26 games he appeared in, averaging 15.6 points a game and 28.6 minutes per contest
  • Shot 60 percent from the floor on the year, the ninth-best mark in a season in the history of Scranton's program
  • Ended the season leading the Landmark Conference in field goal shooting percentage by almost seven full points on his way to earning All-Landmark Conference First Team honors at guard for the second straight seasons
  • Averaged 4.5 rebounds per contest and two assists per game
  • Scored in double-figures 21 times, scoring 20 or more points on seven different occasions
  • Best scoring game of the season came in the Landmark Conference playoffs at Drew (Feb. 26) where he poured in a season-high 31 points in a win for the Royals over the Rangers; the 31-point effort was the fifth-best in a conference playoff game in program history
  • His second-highest scoring game came at home on Jan. 11 vs. Elizabethtown, 25-point, seven assists and six rebound effort in a win for Scranton

Sophomore Year (2018-19)

  • Started all 26 games and averaged a team-leading 16.3 points in 30.3 minutes per game
  • Totaled 425 points, 133 rebounds, 59 assists, 41 steals, and 19 blocks
  • Averaged 5.1 rebounds per game
  • Shot 58.3 percent from the field, tied for the 13th best single-season field goal percentage in Royals history
  • Made a team-leading 175 field goals and also went 33.3 percent from three-point range and 69.4 percent from the free throw line
  • Also tied for the 29th most points scored in a season in Scranton history
  • Reached double-figures for points in 23 games with seven 20-plus point efforts including a season-high 35 at Moravian on Jan. 9
  • Recorded two double-doubles on the season, twice totaling 11 rebounds (Jan. 9 at Moravan, Feb. 16 at Goucher) to go along with double-digit points

Freshman Year (2017-18)

  • Sat out the 2017-18 season while recovering from injury to retain all four years of eligibility heading into the 2018-19 season.

  • Led Scranton Prep to three PIAA District 2 Class AAAA championships, three Lackawanna League crowns and four Lynett Tournament championships.
  • The Cavaliers went a combined 72-11 in his four seasons.
  • Was a third-team all-state selection as a senior and a two-time All-Region selection by The Times-Tribune, including Player of the Year as a senior.
  • As a senior, averaged 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.7 steals per game.
  • Was a member of the National Honor Society.
  • Son of Todd Bailey and Margaret Roche.
  • His father is a graduate of the University, was the point guard and team captain on the Royals' 1983 national championship and is a member of the University's Wall of Fame. He also went on to play for the Washington Generals, the opponent of the Harlem Globetrotters.
  • Has a younger brother, Dawson.
