Biography

Freshman Year (2019)

  • Game-by-Game Statistics
  • Played in seven games and made four starts in goal in his first season at Scranton
  • Made 35 saves in 233:15 of action and posted a 2-2 record
  • Finished the year with a .461 save percentage and a 10.55 goals against average
  • Made six saves in collegiate debut to earn the win in the Royals' 18-9 win at Marywood on Feb. 16
  • Also picked up a win against King's on Feb. 17 with eight saves in Scranton's first-ever game on Weiss Field
  • Made a season-high 12 saves in a 16-15 loss to Muhlenberg on Feb. 23, which was one of two games in which he made double-digit saves
  • Also picked up six ground balls and added one caused turnover on the year

High School/Personal

  • Prepped at Clarkstown H.S. where he earned two varsity letters in both lacrosse and football
  • Earned All-Section, All-League, and All-County honors
  • Led his team to 25 victories
  • Is the son of Patricia and Kevin Grogan.  Both of his parents are graduates of Iona College.
  • Has four older siblings; Kristin, Kevin, Cate, and Dee who have all graduated from, or are attending college.  Kristin graduated from Cortland, Kevin graduated from Hobart William Smith where he played football, Cate is a gradute of the University of New Haven, and Dee attends Florida Southern College.
