Cathy Genco enters her second season as an Assistant Coach with the Lady Royals in 2023-24. 

In 2022-23, she helped guide Scranton to an eighth consecutive Landmark Conference title and saw three different players earn major Landmark awards in Bridget Monaghan (Player of the Year), Maddy Ryan (Defensive Player of the Year) and Kaci Kranson (Rookie of the Year). Both Kranson and Monaghan went on to earn WBCA All-American honors. 

Genco has previously served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Scranton Prep and helped lead the Classics to two District Championships during her tenure. She also has 20 plus years of youth coaching experience with various youth and AAU teams.

Genco played college basketball at Fordham University and earned both a Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from Fordham.
