    Assistant Coach

Sarah Smeltzer joins the Royals with a strong background in both athletics and health sciences. She earned her Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2018 after completing her undergraduate studies at Towson University, where she earned a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2016.

A four-year Division I student-athlete, Smeltzer competed as a defensive specialist/libero for Towson University’s Women’s Volleyball program. Originally from York, PA, Smeltzer moved to the Scranton area three years ago with her husband. They welcomed their son, Sam, two years ago, and she enjoys spending her free time with her family and continuing to play volleyball—both indoor and outdoor doubles.

Smeltzer brings years of hands-on experience, leadership, and a deep love for the sport to the Royals program.
