Prepped at James Caldwell H.S. where he lettered in football and wrestling
Was a district finalist in 2017 and won the Caldwell Tournament in 2015
Earned New Jersey State All-Star honors
Son of John and Nancy Murphy. His father graduated from Stetson while his mother attended Kean and Seton Hall
Has two siblings, Leah and Stephen. Leah is a member of the rugby team at Wesleyan while Stephen is also a member of The University of Scranton wrestling team.
