SCRANTON, PA -- The University of Scranton women's volleyball team defeated Landmark Conference opponent Goucher College in three straight sets on Friday night at the John Long Center.

How it Happened

• The Royals set the pace early in the match, holding the Gophers to only eight points in the first set. Goucher came back in the second and led the Royals 12-8, before Scranton regained the lead and finished the set 25-22. In the third, the Royals took a commanding lead and ended the match with a 25-9 victory. 

Top Performers

• Senior Erin Keaveney led the game in kills with 11, followed by senior Katherine Denitz who finished with seven. 
• Senior Gianna Detorie recorded 20 assists to lead the game.
• Junior Camryn Hoffman tallied a game-high 10 digs. 

Inside the Box Score

• The Royals had numerous top performers in all statistical categories. 
• Scranton recorded 45 kills, while Goucher finished with nine.
• The Royals aced the Gophers seven times throughout the match.
