READING, PA -- The University of Scranton men's basketball team was defeated 48-45 by Muhlenberg College on Sunday afternoon in the first game of the Albright Holiday Tournament.

- Seniors Will McLoughlin and Cameron Khoza hit back-to-back threes to open the game and put the Royals up 6-0.
- Muhlenberg responded with six straight points to tie the game up.
- Scranton responded with a 13-4 run to take a nine point lead with just over five minutes remaining in the opening half.Â
- The Mules cut Scranton's lead to 24-21 headed into the break.
- Muhlenberg tied the game up at 27-27 with 16:35 left to play.
- The two teams continued to exchange baskets throughout the second half until Muhlenberg took its biggest lead of the game at the 8:11 mark, 40-35.Â
- Scranton cut Muhlenberg's lead to one point twice in the closing minutes of the game and had a chance to take the lead, but weren't able to convert as the Mules held on to win 48-45.
