Maxwell Dombrowski (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East),
Isaiah Dore (Plainfield, N.J. / Plainfield Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies), and
Lucas Kotcho (Jermyn, Pa. Valley View) all posted 2-0 days to lead The University of Scranton men's tennis team to a 5-4 victory over Susquehanna on Tuesday in Orlando, FL.
This marks the first win of the spring season for the Royals.
Doubles
- The No. 1 doubles team of Dombrowski and Dore posted an 8-4 win over Alex Baker and Carson Barry of Susquehanna.
- Kotcho and fellow freshman Harrison Clark (Coopersburg, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) won 8-3 in No. 2 doubles.
Singles
- Dombrowski took care of business in No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Baker.
- In No. 2 singles, Dore defeated Tim Basta in straight sets of 6-1, 6-2.
- Kotcho notched a win for Scranton in No. 4 singles as he defeated Harry Becraft 6-2, 6-3 to secure the 5-4 win for Scranton.
The Royals return to action on Thursday for matches against Ohio Wesleyan at 7:30 AM and Belhaven (Miss.) at 6:00 PM.
