ORLANDO, FL -- The University of Scranton men's tennis team dropped a pair of non-conference matches to Ohio Wesleyan and Belhaven by a score of 7-2 in each match on Thursday.
With the losses, the men's tennis team falls to 1-2 in the spring season.
Ohio Wesleyan 7, Scranton 2
- The Royals fell in all three doubles matches to Ohio Wesleyan.
- Freshman Maxwell Dombrowski (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) picked up a win for Scranton in No. 1 singles as he won in three sets of 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.
- In No. 3 singles freshman Harrison Clark (Coopersburg, Pa. / Southern Lehigh) claimed a victory or the Royals in straight sets of 6-2, 7-5.
Belhaven 7, Scranton 2
- Belhaven won all three doubles matches to start the match.
- Freshman Isaiah Dore (Plainfield, N.J. / Plainfield Academy for the Arts & Advanced Studies) notched a win for Scranton in the No. 2 singles match with set wins of 6-4, 6-1.
- Fellow freshman Lucas Kotcho (Jermyn, Pa. / Valley View) cruised to victory in No. 4 singles with sets of 6-2, 6-1.
The Royals return to action tomorrow as they take on Hamline University at 2:30 PM in Orlando, FL.
