SCRANTON, Pa.
-- The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team (7-2, 2-0 Landmark) earned its fourth win in a row with a convincing 19-3 victory over Goucher (2-7, 0-2 Landmark) at Weiss Field in Landmark Conference action on Thursday.

The Royals took a 10-1 into halftime thanks to a dominating first quarter where the team outscored Goucher 8-0. Twelve different Royals got on the scoresheet with a goal and five players scored more than once as Scranton scored a season-high 19 goals, surpassing the high mark that was previously set in an 18-16 victory against Stevenson on March 13.

Junior Grace Lane (Long Beach, N.Y. / Sacred Heart Academy) got the scoring started on a free position shot and the Royals added seven more goals in the quarter to take an 8-0 lead into the second.

After the Gophers scored against sophomore Eva Guerino (Hopewell, N.J. / Pennington School), who had just relieved junior Lauren Boldis (Merrick, N.Y. / Sanford H. Calhoun) to begin the second, the Royals responded with two of their own and extended their lead to 10-1 going to halftime.

Scranton would then outscore the Gophers 9-2 in the second half and go on to win the game 19-3.

Senior Erin Reich (Rockville Centre, N.Y. / South Side) and freshman Jillian Lopez (Sayville, N.Y. / St. Anthony's) led the team with three goals apiece, while junior Molly McCarren (Suffern, N.Y. / Suffern), sophomore Jessica McCabe (Pearl River, N.Y. / Nanuet), and senior McKenna Moore (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater-Raritan) each scored two goals.

Moore, sophomore Delaney Wozniak (Kings Park, N.Y. / Kings Park), senior Courtney Delehanty (Brookfield, Conn. / Brookfield), and junior Lauren Corrado (Oreland, Pa. / Springfield Twp.) all notched their first goals of the season in the win.

Boldis didn't allow a goal in the 15 minutes she played and earned her 30th career win, which is second all-time in program history, while Guerino, in relief of Boldis, made four saves in the win.

The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team is back in action at Lycoming on Wednesday April 3rd, with action set to begin at 7:00 pm.
