MOOSIC, PA -- The University of Scranton men's golf team shot a 295 to defeat Wilkes (331) and Clarks Summit (442) in a local tri-match at Glenmaura National Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Junior
Danny Harding (Vestal, N.Y. / Vestal) fired off a one-under par round of 70 to lead the way for the Royals while sophomore
Jake Guenther (Sea Isle City, N.J. / IMG Academy) shot his best career round at Scranton with a 72 (+1).
Sophomore
Juliano Nieto (Archbald, Pa. / Holy Cross) carded a 76 (+5) for the Royals. Junior
Liam Burtis (Binghamton, N.Y. / Seton Catholic Central) and sophomore
Gehrig Shannon (Bernardsville, N.J. / Saint Peter's Prep) each finished with rounds of 77 (+6). Senior
Martin Stivala (Dunmore, Pa. / Scranton Prep) rounded out the lineup for Scranton with a 91 (+20).
The men's golf team returns to action on Thursday at 12:00 PM for the Conquer the Island Invitational at Shawnee Country Club.
